Chelsea has reportedly signed former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona for an undisclosed fee on a five-year deal.
Fabregas, who spent three years at Barca and will join Chelsea after Arsenal turned down a first option to buy him, said that Jose Mourinho's side matched his football ambitions, adding that he had unfinished business in the Premier League.
According to the BBC, Fabregas said that he considered all the other offers very carefully and he firmly believes that Chelsea is the best choice.
While the fee for the Spaniard's move is unknown, Barca are reportedly happy for Fabregas to leave for a fee in the region of 30 million pounds.
Fabregas said that Chelsea has an amazing squad of players and an incredible manager, adding that he is fully committed to this team and cannot wait to start playing.
Moreover, Fabregas said that everyone knows that Arsenal had the first option to sign him, but they decided not to take the option of completing the move before the World Cup finals and therefore it was not meant to be.
Fabregas, who scored 50 times in 305 games for Arsenal during his previous spell in England, will wear the number-four shirt and join Ramires, Nemanja Matic and John Obi Mikel as central midfield options for Mourinho at Barca, the report added.
