Chennai honcho becomes world's youngest district director of Toastmasters International

Sastharam Ravendran, Chief of Operations of the Sarash Group, a 150-crore business based out of Chennai with global footprints, has become the world's youngest to assume the post of District Director Education and Training of the Toastmasters International - District 82, comprising South India and Sri Lanka.

This makes him top most ranking officer in the district.

He has been associated with the organisation since 2006.

Known for his organized strategy skills, Sastharam in his late twenties is the 10th District Director in the history of the Toastmasters International's District 82. He has replaced Mr. Yusuf Juvenjee, a Sri Lankan, who was heading the District 82 from 2014-2015.

District 82 has in its fold around 6000 individuals as its members. During his tenure between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016, Sastharam Ravendran plans to widen the reach of Toastmasters International, by reaching out to tier 2 and 3 cities in South India and Sri Lanka.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.
