Chhattisgarh: 4 injured in 3 blasts by Naxals

Two District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans and two civilian women were injured in three separate IED blasts carried out by Naxals in Chhattisgarh on Sunday, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Sundarraj P informed.

As per the DIG, DRG jawan Shankar Phulse sustained critical injuries in a blast near Burji village in Gangaloor. He was taken to a local hospital and later shifted to Raipur for better treatment.

Another DRG jawan sustained minor blast injuries near Biriabhoomi in Dantewada district. He is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Civilians in Gangaloor's Pusnar village also fell victim to the Naxal forces' notoriety, as two women sustained splinter injuries in a pressure IED explosion in the forest area. Both women are being taken to Bijapur for treatment.

Yesterday, an encounter took place in Gangaloor and the body of a Naxal was recovered in the aftermath.
