The Chinese authorities have reportedly launched an anti-monopoly investigation into US-based technology giant Microsoft.
After visiting some of Microsoft's local offices, the China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce said that it will probe allegations of monopoly actions undertaken by the company, reported the BBC.
The company responded by saying that it is ready to address any concerns that the Chinese government may have.
It has not been accused of any wrongdoing yet.
The report also added that the investigation will be a fresh setback for the company in China as the government had earlier said that it would ban the use of Windows 8, Microsoft's latest operating system in the country.
