China is set to build world's tallest skyscraper, standing at more than 3,000 feet high into the sky.

The Phoenix Towers, planned for the central city of Wuhan, is set to be built on a footprint of 70,000 square meters, under the direction of London-based Chetwoods Architectural Firm, News.com.au reported.

The 2 billion dollar project bears a modernistic resemblance to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and it's lower floors would be apartments and businesses, while upper levels would be used as a huge recycling plant including solar power, wind turbines and an air-cleaning and filtration system.

However, it might not hold the title of world's tallest structure for long because builders in Saudi Arabia have plans for the Kingdom Tower in the city of Jeddah that would stand one kilometre tall, thus, equaling Phoenix Tower.
