Chris Pratt has spoken out about sexism in Hollywood, stating that the media needs to "objectify men" as much as women.
The 35-year-old actor said that having a toned physique was never a prerequisite for being an actor in a calculated way, but it was in hindsight, adding that it was a huge part of how his career has shifted is based on the way that he looks, on the way that he has shaped his body to look, E! Online reported.
The 'Jurassic World' star added that he now feels "totally objectified" but insisted he doesn't feel appalled by it, instead he thinks it's appalling that for a long time only women were objectified.
He noted that if people really want to advocate for equality, it's important to even things out, adding women should not be objectified less, but men should be objectified just as often as people objectify women.
He admitted that there are a lot of women who got careers out of it and he is using it to his advantage, adding "at the end of the day, our bodies are objects.
