Manchester City has failed to replace Chelsea on top of the Premier League following a 1-1 draw with an improved Arsenal side on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.
Only five points now separate leaders Chelsea and fourth-place Arsenal, although Chelsea's advantage is thin as City, who trail them by two points, have two games in hand, while second-place Liverpool will go top if they win at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
According to Sport24, City went ahead in the 18th minute when David Silva prodded in after a shot from Edin Dzeko came back off the post, however, Arsenal became level at the second half as Mathieu Flamini flew in to steer a half-volley into the bottom-right corner in the 53rd minute.
Meanwhile, the report added that Chelsea manager Mourinho had admitted defeat in the title race after his side slumped to a shock loss against relegation-threatened Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
