Australian captain Michael Clarke has dismissed speculation about a tension-filled relationship with his former deputy Shane Watson and has reiterated that both he and Watson are going on fine.
Sacked coach Mickey Arthur had reportedly claimed in leaked documents that Clarke described Watson as having a 'cancerous hold' on the team culture, which has heightened scrutiny of a partnership that has often been strained.
However, the Telegraph.com.au reports that Clarke dismissed such claims, saying that both he and the all-rounder are 'going great' and have the same common goal of achieving big success in the coming Ashes, adding that they both are aware that they are two senior players and have to play a big role if the team wants to snatch back the Ashes urn.
Clarke further said he believes that Watson is batting as well as he has in his career, adding that he is in for a massive summer.
