Australia's star cricketers Michael Clarke and Shane Watson have both repeatedly slashed the asking price of their glamorous Sutherland Shire homes but they are still struggling to bag someone who is ready to mint out the dollars.
Clarke and his model wife Kyly have reportedly just dropped the asking price on their 1670 square-metre Lilli Pilli pad to below its 2006 purchase price of 2.87 million dollars.
Despite Clarke initially listing the five-bedroom home at 3.4 million dollars in 2009, then 2.7 million dollars earlier this year, the price guide is now over 2.4 million dollars according to a listing agent, News.com.au reported.
Nearby in Caringbah South, teammate Watson and TV presenter wife Lee Furlong have also slashed the asking price of their waterfront home.
The property, which went to auction last month but failed to get any runs on the board, had price hopes of more than 4 million dollars, but now the two-storey house with private jetty and pontoon on Burraneer Bay is listed with a property dealer with an amended 3.95 million dollars price tag.
The high-profile pair paid 3.9 million dollars for the property back in 2010, the report added.
