Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protesters today clashed with police in Moradabad following the detention of party Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs).
Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Rajendra Chaudhary accused the BJP of always trying to disturb conditions in Uttar Pradesh and hampering development.
"The BJP's character has always been disturbing society, and this is hampering development and progress in this country. Since the formation of the SP Government in UP, the BJP has always tried to disturb the state, but the SP will never tolerate any violation of law and order in the state. Whosoever will take law in their hands, strict action will be taken against them. Under SP rule, any such freedom can never be given," said Chaudhary.
Earlier today, police had detained Muzzaffarnagar riots accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Sangeet Som along with two other party leaders while they were on their way to a Mahapanchayat to protest against the decision of the state administration to remove loudspeakers from a temple.
