Australian fast bowler Clint McKay has become the 11th player from a domestic side to be pulled into line for breaching Cricket Australia's (CA) code of conduct after copping a breach notice for using an 'audible obscenity' during a Sheffield Shield match.

In another clear sign the governing body wants to improve on-field behavioural standards, McKay received the notice during the second day of his side Victoria's match against South Australia at the MCG.

According to News.com.au, a CA statement said that McKay was reported by the umpires for breaching Article 2.1.4 - using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during a match.

The report mentioned that Australian Test captain Michael Clarke, Western Australia's Ashton Agar and South Australia pair Tom Cooper and Adam Zampa are amongst those to be reprimanded and/or fined this season for dissent or obscene language.

McKay's captain Matthew Wade was last month suspended for one Shield match after being charged with pitch tampering, the report added.
