Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will hold the first meeting of his new cabinet on Saturday evening at the secretariat in Patna.
According to reports, the cabinet will decide on calling a special session of 16th Bihar Legislative Assembly and will also fix the date of a joint meeting of both houses of the Bihar legislature.
Nitish will also hold a review meeting to take stock of the law and order situation with district magistrates and police superintendents of the districts via video conferencing. The chief secretary, home secretary and the director general of police will also be present at the meeting.
Yesterday, in a grand event, Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the fifth time at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tejaswi Yadav was appointed deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. He has also been given the additional responsibility of three ministries.
Lalu's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav has also been allocated three ministries in the Nitish Kumar-led Cabinet.
