The 'Wonderful life' singer Colin Vearncombe, who was widely known as Black, has passed away at the age of 53.
Vearncombe, who inflicted a serious head injury following a car accident earlier this month, was placed in an induced coma and remained in a serious condition for over a week, the Independent reports.
His death announcement was made on his Facebook page, which read as, "Colin Vearncombe, 26/5/1962 - 26/1/2016, You'll never walk alone. A full statement will follow shortly."
Shortly after this, his fans flooded the social media with their tributes.
One of the users wrote, "RIP #ColinVearncombe. #Black and I went all the way back. Such a talent and much too short of a #wonderfullife."
Another tweeted, "All the great music is drifting up to heaven. That's some band of wonderful God is assembling. RIP Colin Vearncombe."
