High Commissioner Morton conveyed this information to Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena at his office earlier this week.
High Commissioner Morton told President Sirisena that the New Zealand Government would extend every support for the uplift of Sri Lanka's agricultural sector, reports the Colombo Page web site.
President Sirisena requested the envoy to impart the advanced technology used in his country for the agricultural industry and the dairy industry.
He also requested assistance in developing the nation's inland fishery production.
The New Zealand High Commissioner said his government expects to enter into several agreements with the Sri Lankan government for investment in several sectors, including the health sector.
