The high level committee for the restructuring of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) on Wednesday submitted its report regarding the improvement of its operational efficiency and financial management to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The committee, which was chaired by Shanta Kumar, examined the administrative, functional and financial structure of the FCI, along with its modus operandi with regards to its various operations.
During the meet, Prime Minister Modi directed the Department of Food and Public Distribution to give their comments on the report in order to implement it in a timely manner.
