Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has directed his ministry to constitute a committee to prepare a report on the decongestion of roads of New Delhi.
The 17-member committee, which will be chaired by the Secretary of Urban Development, seeks corrective interventions on priority after media reports highlighting traffic congestion on the roads of the national capital.
The committee, which will also take into account all the technical, financial and administrative aspects of the project, has been directed to submit its report along with a proposed action plan by the first week of November this year.
