Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques believes that though he could come in as a replacement for injured James Faulkner in the upcoming World Cup, it is never nice to go in on someone else's 'unfortunate events'.
Faulkner was injured while playing the Tri-series final, which subsequently ruled him out of the World Cup opener against England on February 14.
Reflecting on Faulkner's injury, Henrique said that he hoped James gets up and was ready to go, adding that it was never nice to go in on someone else's unfortunate events, News.com,au reported.
Henrique added that Faulkner had proved himself at ODI level, so he was going to really want to play and they were going to want him to play and give him as much time as they can.
Commenting on his World Cup chances, the all-rounder said that he believe he could (fill Faulkner's void) as he could bowl through the middle overs and bat down the order, the report added.
Henrique said that if he was to play (for Australia), he hoped it was because he was playing good cricket and selected at the start of the squad, rather than on someone else's injury.
