Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he is confident his side will respond to their shocking 0-4 defeat against Southampton within 48 hours.
A win at St Mary's Stadium could have offered Arsenal a chance to climb at the top of the league table.But instead they suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands a Shane Long-inspired Southampton.
Reflecting on their performance, Wenger admitted that his side were not good enough to win the game , but added that they were looking forward to display quality performance in the next match.
The 66-year-old insisted that his players had fantastic spirit and that they would come back strongly in their upcoming league clashes, the Guardian reported.
Arsenal, which had lost just one of their previous 11 league games and recorded an impressive victory over Manchester City last week, will now aim for six points from home matches against Bournemouth and Newcastle United.
