Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday said that the Congress Party does not believe in negative politics like the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He also said that Congress is the only party that could keep the nation and society united.

"I would like to emphasise that Congress Party doesn't believe in negative politics like BJP. We use sober language. We want to present ourselves in a peaceful manner. We do not believe in using offensive languages for the leaders of opposition," he said while addressing a rally here in the poll-bound state.

"Some leaders of BJP believe in using very derogatory words against their rivals," he added.

He further lauded the schemes launched by the Congress-led UPA Government for the development of the state, and added that skill development is one of the priorities, as the Government wants youth to get better employment.

"I appeal to you to give the Congress majority in Rajasthan again. We are happy to have fulfilled your promises," he said.

Rajasthan, which is currently governed by Congress Government, votes for a new assembly on December 1. The counting of votes will take place on December 8.
