Congress leader and political secretary to party president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday said that he had learnt about Samajwadi Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav being admitted to a hospital in Gurgaon for treatment, and wished him speedy recovery.
In a tweet, Patel said, "This morning I have learnt that Shri Mulayam Singhji has been hospitalised. I pray for his speedy recovery."
Yadav, who was suffering from a urinary infection, is presently undergoing treatment at the Medanta Medicity Hospital in Gurgaon.
Mulayam, who was earlier admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow, was brought to Delhi last night.
Mulayam's son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple Yadav are also here.
According to reports, senior Samajwadi Party leaders Ram Gopal Yadav and Shivpal Yadav are coming to Delhi from Safai.

Patel also said that he was deeply disturbed over the demise of Kerala State Assembly Speaker G.Kartikeyan.
He said,"Deeply disturbed by the passing away of Kerala Speaker Shri G Karthikeyanji. It is a tragic loss for the party and people of Kerala."
Karthikeyan, who was undergoing treatment for liver cancer, passed away at the Health Care Global (HCG) hospital in Bengaluru earlier in the day. He was 66 years old.
