Accusing both the Congress and the Left Front of entering into an arrangement for plundering the state alternately every five years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said he could clearly visualise the emergence of a "third force" on the Kerala's political scene.
"I can clearly see the emergence of a third force in Kerala," he said while addressing a public rally in poll-bound state.
"The people of Kerala are educated, wise and experienced, but they are very innocent. They could not understand the 'perfect scientific arrangement' to plunder and destroy Kerala," he alleged.
"You see history of Kerala: the Congress and the Communist governments ruled the state alternatively every five years. They thank each other. It's a deal to plunder the state," he alleged.
"If you want to save Kerala, he said, "there is a need of a powerful empire, hence vote the BJP to power. I ensure you that BJPs workers will not let Kerala to be destroyed. I will not let your efforts go into vain and ensure development in
"I am surprised that 'God's Own Country', of which we all are proud of, they have done nothing for the past 60 years, except destroying it, he said.

As the tenure of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy ends in May 2016, the 140-seat Kerala assembly goes to single-phase polling on May 16, while the votes will be counted on May19.
Traditionally, Kerala has been the stronghold of two main rivals - the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) - with power changing at regular intervals.
In the 2011 assembly polls, the Congress-led UDF won by a narrow margin of four seats. The LDF is making all-out effort to return to power, however, the BJP may prove spoiler.
