Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the Left Front, the Congress and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamamta Banerjee are not bothered about the youth of the Bengal but about Bangladeshi infiltrators.

BJP is clear about the fact that votebank politics has ruined our nation. Be it the Left, Congress or Didi (Mamata Banerjee), neither of them are bothered about the youth but about Bangladeshi infiltrators," said Modi.

"No matter how much didi keeps objecting and opposing me, I will never back out from serving the people of Bengal," he added.

He further said that West Bengal was in such a situation that it could not even stand on its own.

"There was a time when Bengal saved the country, it used to run the country, showed India the way, but today Bengal can't even stand on its own," Modi said.

"What kind of laws are these that anyone comes up with a company and loots people in the name of chit fund. The youth of Bengal is the real tiger of Bengal; and a real tiger never saves scamsters," he said.

"This is the land of Maa Sharda, am fortunate to have come here, salute this place. But this is also one of the three states in the country where women are not safe. In Gujarat during Navratras, young girls, women freely go around the city in Gujarat without any fear," he added.

He also urged the people to give him a period of 60 months to serve the state.

"You have given 60 years to the Congress. What have they done? They have always tried to create fights within Bengal and never gave much importance to the issues here," said Modi.

"Give me a period of 60 months and I promise you I would not disappoint you. I will serve the state with dedication and address the issues here," he added.
