Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that the Congress Party needs more of introspection, than any kind of surgery, to halt its nosediving electoral count in the nation.
"The Congress needs to introspect instead of going under any kind of surgery. The Congress which was once ruling across the nation has now been confined to only 44 MPs. So, it needs to review itself," Naidu told ETV News head Jagdeesh Chandra in an exclusive interview here.
Alleging that the Congress did rampant corruption ranging from land to sky and even in space, Naidu said his party is focused at its ambition of Congress rule free nation.
"We want Congress rule free nation, not a Congress free nation. We don't have any problem with Congress sitting in Opposition. The Nation wants to get rid of Congress's corrupt model of governance," he added.
The Union Minister further noted that the BJP is spreading and on the other hand the Congress has been confined to rule at mere six percent of the total population.
"The Congress is losing its powers in every place because of its wrong policies. Now, Congress is confined to mere six percent populations and on the other hand the BJP is spreading from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
Our vote percentage in Bengal has increased. In Kerala and Tamil Nadu the presence of the BJP has also got increased," he added.
