Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday took a dig at Congress-led UPA Government, saying that the ruling party at centre is rapidly losing public support.

"Congress is rapidly losing public support due to its failure in each and every front," Naidu said.

"The rupee value is depreciating day by day and the Government is clueless. That's why we have information that the government is thinking of early election and they want to just offer these lollypop to the people, Aadhar, food security and all. The question is, they have been in power for last nine years. What have they done in nine years," Naidu asked.

On Monday, BJP leader Ananth Kumar said that his party is ready to face snap polls if the ruling Congress Party opts for it.

Highlighting the failures of the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre, he said the BJP would go to polls with development and good governance as its main agenda.

Kumar further alleged that the Congress brought the Ordinance on the Food Security, as it was not confident of getting the support of its allies in the Parliament.
