The Congress party on Monday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policy towards Pakistan, alleging that the BJP-led Central Government lacks strategic thinking over the issue.
"It's been over a year, sound and light show has been going on, one photo op or the other is always there. They do not know what is the policy with Pakistan. They are completely confused.... What is Prime Minister Modi's policy towards Pakistan, let them explain it to nation. There is no strategic thinking," Congress leader Kapil Sibal said at a press conference.
"On May 8 last year, Prime Minister Modi said that it is not possible to have discussions amidst bomb blasts and gun shots. Mr. Modi why are you having discussions amidst bomb blasts and gun shots? Was this also a 'jumla' to win elections," he added.
Sibal also questioned the action taken by the government after Indian soldiers were killed by Pakistani forces.
"Our country's protectors are being killed by Pakistani army, Mr. Modi what are you doing?" he said.
