Congress leader Manish Tewari on Saturday said that one should not be surprised over the ongoing friction in the PDP-BJP alliance in Jammu and Kashmir while alleging that it was an 'unnatural' alliance of ideologically incompatibles.
"PDP and the BJP was an unnatural alliance. It was an alliance of ideologically incompatibles. Just because of political opportunism they have decided to come together. It's an alliance, which could have never lasted because of the internal conflict manifested in it," Tewari told ANI here.
"Therefore, the fact that it is coming apart should not be a surprise to anybody," he added.
The BJP on Friday held the PDP responsible for the deadlock over government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, saying it is for the Mehbooba Murfti-led party to elect a leader and form the government without imposing any new condition for the same.
BJP leader Ram Madhav told ANI the situation still remains the same, adding the PDP has to stop coming up with new issues every now and then.
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti had yesterday met BJP president Amit Shah in the national capital but the agenda of the meeting was not made clear.
