The ruling Congress Party in Karnataka on Thursday announced that it will be conducting a survey to assess the mood of the people of the state ahead of assembly elections.
The survey, a probable first of its kind, will be carried out as per the direction of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and will cover all assembly seats.
Party sources said that a second survey would be conducted by the Congress Party after Rahul Gandhi completes his visit to the state next month
Gandhi will kickstart the party's electoral campaign in the state on February 10 from Hospet District.
Karantaka will hold elections in the first quarter of this year.
