Manchester City CEO Ferran Sorriano has said that the club will not exchange their squad with rivals Manchester United, even if given a chance to do so.

City wants to improve its current state despite acknowledging that previous manager Roberto Mancini's managerial abilities had served the team very well, the Mirror reports.

Sorriano said that the players were skilled enough to retain their places, and candidly admitted that coach Mancini was sacked because the standard of football was not up to the mark.

Sorriano said the team only needs to play better and is capable of winning the Premier League.

Claiming that Mancini took the team to a new level from a non-winning club to a successful winning team, Sorriano further said that the club is now looking forward to play good football and to earn more silverware.

Sorriano also said that Mancini's abrasive, divisive style with players also created much strain and tension among players and hoped that his possible replacement Manuel Pellegrini will handle the squad far better and help create a more harmonious environment in the dressing room so that the players can perform better at the pitch.
