Taking a jibe at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday said the latter and controversies are made for each other.

"First Kejriwal became 'nautanki-wal', and now, he has become 'controversy-wal'. Controversy and Kejriwal are made for each other. He gets involved in these controversies because he wants to cover-up his failures. Only we see these controversies, contradictions and confusion. But this is not going to last for many days," Naqvi told ANI.

The Delhi IAS Officers' Association yesterday passed a resolution urging Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to create a conducive atmosphere where officers can function in a free and impartial manner.

On Wednesday, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had written to Lieutenant Governor Jung asking him under what provisions of the Constitution was he issuing directions and orders to the AAP Government in Delhi.

He sought the information under the provisions of the Constitution, the GNCT Act and the TBR.

Jung had earlier reiterated his executive powers and authority over administering the affairs of the capital city vis-a-vis the authority and powers to be exercised by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under the Constitution.

In his letter Jung had written that he had 'constitutional power, to do transfers and postings'.
