Convicted Paralympics runner Oscar Pistorius is set to be released from prison on parole on August 21, after serving 10 months for killing his girlfriend, South African prison officials have confirmed.
The double amputee athlete was sentenced to a five-year jail in 2014 after being found guilty of culpable homicide of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

However, Steenkamp's parents believe the imprisonment of 10 months is 'not enough for taking a life', the BBC has reported.
A state appeal against Pistorius' murder acquittal will be heard in November.
The decision to grant him parole would mean he is likely to spend the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.
