Former Wales and Sheffield United striker Ched Evans reportedly is planning to quit football and venture into a business based on a decorating course he had completed while serving his term in prison for raping a 19 year old girl.
Most of the clubs have turned down to include Evans in their team, with latest being Tranmere Rovers and Sheffield United. A source said Ched is not in a position of strength as he is now looking for a club in the lower divisions. His earnings used to be around 20,000 euros at Sheffield United, source added.
It further said that even teams like Tranmere, who pay about 2,000 euros a week, are not ready to take him, the Daily Star reported.
Earlier, the decision to allow Evans to use training facilities at Sheffield United was withdrawn due to widespread criticism from sponsors as well as celebrities.
However, Evans continues to claim his innocence and has lodged an appeal with the Criminal Case Review Commission.
