England captain Alastair Cook has said that Australian spin legend Shane Warne's criticism of his captaincy had raised his blood pressure, although he admitted that he and the other top-order batsmen must improve on their summer performance in the upcoming winter Ashes series.

Cook however, dismissed Warne's comments of him being unimaginative and negative as team tactician as he prepared to overcome back trouble and lead England in a four-day tour game against Australia 'A' starting in Hobart on Wednesday.

According to Sport24, Warne had said that Cook needed to more imaginative and added that if Australia plays well and if he (Cook) continues to captain the way he does, then England will lose the series.

Although Cook dismissed the comments, he however, admitted that question marks over the England top order were legitimate heading into the first Ashes Test at the Gabba in Brisbane.
