The counting of votes for the recently held assembly elections in Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir is underway amid tight security arrangements.
In Jharkhand, the counting is being held at 24 centres, whereas in Jammu and Kashmir, the counting is being held at 22 centres.
According to latest media reports, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in eight constituencies, Congress in one constituency while Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is leading in four seats in Jharkhand.
Meanwhile, the BJP is reportedly leading in 13 seats in Jammu and Kashmir, with the Congress, the National Conference (NC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) leading in six, seven and nine seats respectively.
The five-phased elections in both states commenced on November 25, with the democratic process concluding on December 20.
