Country music singer Randy Howard was killed in a shootout with the bounty hunter in Lynchburg.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been looking into the shooting, which took place on June 9, at the 65-yea-old's home, Us Magazine has reported.
Howard was wanted on charges of fourth offense DUI; possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a gun while intoxicated, and driving on a revoked license. WSMV stated he missed his scheduled court appearance, which was why the bounty hunter showed up looking for him.
Howard fired the first shot, and the bounty hunter, who was reportedly working for A Plus Bail Bonding, was also injured in the standoff.
