A Leeds couple has smashed the previous Guiness World record for Bridesmaids and Ushers by having a massive 130 Bridesmaid and 103 ushers.
Amy Ewing and husband Alex Simmons, who are believed to have broken two world records with the size of their wedding party, had to know all their helpers in order to qualify for the Guinness World Records, the Daily Express reported.
The 26-year-old bride got friends from all over the world to help out, while her radio presenter husband, 32, called in Rugby League stars Danny Kirmond, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, twin siblings of England Tom and George Burgess and Bath union star Sam.
The happy pair, who met when Ewing visited Leeds radio station All Star FM last summer, where Simmons hosts a sports programme, won their record-breaking nuptials in a Facebook competition for the ultimate free ceremony.
Every element of their dream day was donated by local companies, including 2,000 pounds worth ivory dress for bride, 130 identical bridesmaids' dresses worth 35,000, suits worth 13,000 for all the men, 1,300 pounds worth of cupcakes, 3,500 pounds worth of fireworks and 3,250 pounds worth of flowers for the 250 guests.
The couple, who already have four children between them, got a 15,000 pounds ceremony and slap-up reception at the prestigious Rudding Park Hotel, Spa and Golf in Yorkshire.
Simmons said that it's been a whirlwind and he wouldn't say he had to convince Amy but he hadn't known her long as when they entered the competition they weren't even engaged.
He added that they knew they had to take the opportunity as there is no way with kids they would have been able to afford this themselves. This had made their dreams come true.
