Dr. Mriank from All India Federation of Trade Unions (AIFTU) told ANI, "We have gathered here in protest against Israel which is killing innocents in Gaza, so that they stop doing so."
We also request the Government of India to break their silence on the matter. India- Palestine relation is old and government must protect it," he added.
General Secretary of Pragatisheel Mahila Sangathan Poonam told ANI, "This protest is against Israel which is killing innocents in Gaza from more than last 15 days. Till now 300 people have been brutally killed in Gaza; a large ratio of them have been women and children."
"We want that Israel government should stop these attacks immediately and also Modi led BJP government must condemn Israel government," she added.
The offensive launched by Israel on July 9 on the Gaza strip has already claimed the lives of 300 civilians in Palestine. According to a UN estimate, about 1,370 homes have been destroyed in Gaza and more than 18,000 people have been displaced in the conflict.
