British-Spanish costume designer Yvonne Blake, known for iconic costumes of the 'Superman', has died at the age of 78.
Blake died on Tuesday in Madrid, the Spanish Film Academy told The Hollywood Reporter.
The Britain-born costume designer won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for the film Nicholas and Alexandra along with Antonio Castillo.
Throughout her career, she also won four Goya Awards and was nominated for the BAFTA and the Emmy Awards.
However, her most recognizable work was in Richard Donner's 'Superman', for which she designed the iconic superhero costume.
