The cricketing fraternity joined hands in extending its overwhelming support to England batsman James Taylor, who was forced to retire from international cricket due to a serious heart condition.
The 26-year-old, who played seven Tests and 27 ODIs for England, pulled out of last week's domestic first class fixture against Cambridge MCCU with what was believed to be a viral condition.
However, specialist scans revealed that Taylor has a very serious heart condition called ARVC (Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Arrhythmia).
Offering his sympathy to Taylor through a micro blogging website Twitter, former England skipper Michael Vaughan described the batsman as 'one of the great people' of the game and vowed to support him whenever he needs.
Former Australian captain Michael Clarke also consoled the Nottinghamshire batsman and tweeted, "Really feel for @jamestaylor20 Absolutely devastated for you."
"Heartbreaking news about a seriously talented and hard working man. Stay strong my buddy, everyone's with you @jamestaylor20 #cricketfamily," Taylor's team-mate Jason Roy said.

Meanwhile, England seam bowler Tim Bresnan wished luck to Taylor for his operation, saying that he hoped for his soon recovery.
"Terrible news about @jamestaylor20 , was good to meet and play against you this summer. In my thoughts big guy. Go well Titch," South Africa spinner Dane Piedt said while offering his sympathy to Taylor.
England fast bowler Stuart Broad, Australian opener Usman Khawaja and South Africa paceman Morne Morkel were among other notable players who extended their support to the devastated batsman.
