Cristiano Ronaldo dumped his model girlfriend Irina Shayk because she refused to attend the surprise birthday party for his mother, it has been reported.
Shayk's relationship with the football superstar's mum Dolores Aveiro and sisters Elma and Katia was at the centre of tensions, the Mirror reported.
The Russian model sparked speculation after she stopped following the Real Madrid star on Twitter. And she also chose not to attend the Fifa Ballon d'Or ceremony in Zurich recently when he was named the best player in the world.
Ronaldo thanked his family, teammates and supporters but made no mention of Shayk.
