Looks like EL James' plan to mesmerize her fans with Christian Grey's view point has back fired as the critics have titled her fantasy character as 'Utter psychopath', 'Insecure,' and 'Desperate sexual predator' after reading her novel 'Grey.'
The 52-year-old author's flipside companion piece to her phenomenally successful 'Fifty Shades' novels was released across the world on Grey's birthday to lure fans, but it seems like that the book is being greeted with what sounds like a collective, "Ew" and "Why," reported the Sydney Moring Herald.
Suffering through the book's 557 pages, a critic said that the first book was a rather fun and fairly mild portrait of a woman's sexual fantasy whereas it was almost impossible to read 'Grey' and not assume the narrator is going to end up in jail.
She added that it is most reminiscent of those thrillers that open from the point of view of the heavy-breathing murderer stalking his prey.
Disappointed from the book, another critic added that "the flesh strung between the narrative bones reveals the self made billionaire to be an even more deeply unpleasant, insecure a***ole than one has previously imagined.
