The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday arrested five persons in connection with heckling of a CRPF personnel on polling day in Budgam on April 9.
Director General of Police (DGP) S.P. Vaid told ANI that an FIR has been registered in the Chadoora Police Station against the ruffians, who heckled the CRPF personnel.
"Eleven of them have been identified, five of them have been arrested, three are involved and two others are being questioned. The remaining accused is absconding. We are after them. We will bring all of them to justice, they have to face the law," Vaid said.
He also lauded the restraint shown by the CRPF jawan and said that any armed force in the world would have retaliated with force.
The viral video features a CRPF personnel using immense restraint even when he is attacked by an angry mob at a polling booth in Srinagar.
The video shows the jawan walking when suddenly a civilian attacks the soldier.
The impact of the attack led to the Jawan's helmet roll down the road.
