Cricket South Africa (CSA) has denied media reports which claimed that their chief executive Haroon Lorgat has been suspended after the insistence of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over the controversial tour of South Africa.

The board clarified their position via a media statement released on Tuesday, claiming that the media reports are 'erroneous' and insisted that Lorgat remains chief executive of CSA and is responsible for all other areas of its operations.

According to Sport24, CSA chairperson Chris Nenzani reiterated their stance, saying that Lorgat himself volunteered to withdraw from matters involving the ICC and the BCCI in his deliberations with the full board at their meeting last Sunday.

According to a joint media release by the BCCI and the CSA, Lorgat has been withdrawn by CSA from representing it at the ICC's chief executive's committee (or from acting in any other ICC-related matters), and from having involvement in any aspect of CSA's relationship with the BCCI, including but not limited to the upcoming tour.
