Manhattan-based real-estate giant Cushman and Wakefield's (C and W) Chief Operating Officer (COO) has sued the company for age and gender discrimination after being denied a promotion.
Suzy Reingold claimed that she was denied the job of tri-state president despite her 15 years of management experience.
According to the New York Post, the position went to new employee Ronald Lo Russo, who was hired from outside the company.
Reingold alleged that high-level company executives called older workers "dinosaurs."
She also said that former CEO Glenn Rufrano said the company needed young people and young management for the office.
The complaint was filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court, and sought 20 million dollars in back pay, unpaid wages and damages, the report added.
