Reacting to the Delhi Government's order to the Anti Corruption Bureau to file an FIR and start investigation in the Commonwealth Games (CWG) purchase of street lights, BJP leader Harshvardhan described the step as symbolic.
He said there are many other scams that happened during CWG and are yet to be investigated. He further said a responsible agency should probe the matter.
"A new scam took place in Delhi everyday in the name of the CWG. From the buying of a tissue paper to rebuilding a stadium, roads, or decorating the city, everything should be investigated," said Harshvardhan.
"I had reported against a lot of scams going on during the Sheila Dikshit government. Why aren't those issues being investigated?" he asked.
The Delhi Government has asked the anti-corruption bureau to probe a number of cases of corruption relating to alleged irregularities in Commonwealth Games projects.
It has sent files related to Street Light scam worth 92 crore rupees in CWG to Anti-corruption branch.
