Senior Goa Congress leader Mauvin Godinho, who is an MLA from Dabolim constituency, resigned as a member of the state assembly on Wednesday to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
According to reports, Godinho after tendering his resignation said that he was unhappy with the functioning of the Congress Party.
Earlier on December 13, several Congress leaders including Ravinder Singh Tyagi and Hira Lal Kundra joined the BJP.
