The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned that counterfeit dietary supplement for male sexual enhancement could be harmful to diabetics, people suffering from high BP, high cholesterol and heart disease.

FDA's safety warning on its website said that the fake product is sold as "ExtenZe Maximum Strength" and looks similar to ExtenZe that is made by Monrovia, California-based Biotab Nutraceuticals Inc, Fox News reported.

The FDA said that their tests showed that the counterfeit supplement has sildenafil, an active ingredient in various FDA-approved prescription medicines, which includes Pfizer's Viagra, for erectile dysfunction.

Sildenafil is a substance that can't be sold without an prescription. However, the counterfeit product is available online and elsewhere without a prescription.

The FDA said that sildenafil can interact with nitrates, which is found in some prescription drugs and often taken by men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease, and can lower BP to dangerous levels.
