Dangerous multi-tasking while driving assuming epidemic proportions

Australian motorists have been eating, drinking, using phones and even shaving, while behind the wheel and in turn putting other road users at risk, it ahs been revealed.

According to the Galaxy Research, which surveyed 1022 people belonging to the age gap of 18-64 years, said that 83 percent of Australian drivers are distracted by eating or drinking while on the road, while 48 percent admitted to talking on their phone, News.com.au reported.

64 percent of women rummage through handbags in traffic, 42 percent perform childcare duties, while 20 percent confessed of putting make-up in traffic and 12 percent of changing their clothes, while driving. 8 percent of men even admitted to shaving behind the wheel.

It was found that 15 percent of drivers even plan their multi-tasking before they get in the car.
