West Indies batsman Darren Bravo has been ruled out of the remaining World Cup matches following his failure to recover from a hamstring injury, confirmed the squad's players' association.

Bravo endured a left hamstring injury during his side's 150-run win over Pakistan in Christchurch last weekend, and was subsequently forced to retire hurt.

Confirming the matter, the West Indies Players Association tweeted that Darren Bravo had been ruled out of the World Cup and would be replaced in the West Indies squad, Sport24 reported.

The left-handed batsman scored 49 runs before retiring hurt.

West Indies are fourth in Pool B table and will next meet defending champions India on March 6 in Perth.
