Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) treasurer Ravinder Manchanda has written letter to the BCCI asking to release Rs. 10 crores to meet the expenses of upcoming fourth Test between India and South Africa.
In a letter to BCCI's honorary secretary Anurag Thakur, Manchanda said that DDCA are confident of getting necessary permission from the Delhi government to host the last Test of the series.
The DDCA has been facing the charges of financial irregularities after former cricketer and BJP MP Kirti Azad raised the issue.
On a complaint filed by former cricketer Bishen Singh Bedi and other cricketers, Delhi government had ordered a probe into the issue.
Delhi can lose the chance of hosting the fourth Test between the two sides if it doesn't pay entertainment tax of Rs 24 crores.
In case, Delhi doesn't get clearance, then Pune will host the match.
The two sides is scheduled to play fourth match of the four-match Test series at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, starting from December 3.
