South Africa's AB de Villiers, who will captain his side in the last two Tests against England, has insisted that his primary focus will be on winning and to lead the side by example.
De Villiers took over as the Test skipper for remaining series against England after Hashim Amla declared his resignation from the post after the second Test between the two sides ended in a draw.
Considering himself as a 'competitive' person, the 31-year-old said that losing was not an option for his side and that they would completely focus on winning the series, Sport24 reported.
De Villiers also expressed his views on the new added responsibility, acknowledging the captaincy role as a huge privilege.
The swashbuckling batsman said that South Africa had got a very stable team culture and it would be exciting to lead the side.
The Proteas are currently trailing 0-1 in the four-match series following their huge 241-run defeat in the opening match in Durban.

Speaking about the upcoming match, De Villiers said that every game is a must-win, admitting that there is a little bit of added pressure on his side.
The two sides will play their last two Tests in Johannesburg (from January 14) and Centurion (from January 22).
